CHANGE OF MEANING IN AN ARABIC READING BOOK FOR UNIVERSITY STUDENTS WITH THE TOPIC "YOUTH ABANDON DIGITAL DEVICES AND PARENTS ARE ADDICTED TO THEM"/ TAGHAYAR AL-MA’NA FI KITABI AL-QIRA'AT AL-ARABIYYAH MUQARAR LITHALABATI AL- JAMI’AT BI AL-MAUDU’ "ASY-SYABABU YAHJURUN AL-AJHIZAT AR-RAQMIAT WA AL-AABA YUDAMINUNAHA"
Abstract
With the evolution of time and age, the Arabic language experiences change according to the development needs and movements of certain societies. Phenomena related to meaning are among the most important issues in the semantic study. This research aims at the deep search for a change of meaning in the Arabic reading book course for university students on the theme "Asy-Syababu Yahjurun Al-Ajhizat Ar-Raqmiat wa Al-Aaba Yudaminunaha." The type of research is qualitative with a descriptive approach based on library research. To collect data, researchers used the document method. The analysis was done by analyzing the change of meaning with a semantic analysis. the main sources are the Arabic reading book course for students of the University, the contemporary Arabic lexicon of Ahmad Mukhtar Omar, the Munjid lexicon for Louis Ma'luf and the electronic lexicon "Almaany". The result of this research: that the change in meaning in the Arabic reading book is a course for university students on the theme "Asy-Syababu Yahjurun Al-Ajhizat Ar-Raqmiat wa Al-Aaba Yudaminunaha", six words, five words from the expansion of the meaning: Asy-Syabab, Al-Ajhizat Ar-Raqmiat, Al-Aaba, Ats-Tsaurat Ash-Shinaiyyat, and Syabakat Al-Ittishal Al-Ijtimaiyyat. And the narrowing of the meaning is the word "al-Hatif".
